On March 10, the Haimen Port Economic Development Zone and Nantong Aeolon Wind Power Technology Development Co., Ltd. signed an investment agreement, officially launching the Aeolon Wind Power Phase III Project with a total investment of RMB 3 billion. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Shen Xudong, Party Secretary of the Haimen District Committee, and Chen Weitao, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee and District Mayor, who also met with Chairman Hu Wenlong of Aeolon Technology Co., Ltd. and his delegation.

Aeolon Technology Co., Ltd. is a group-based high-tech private enterprise. In recent years, the company has seized opportunities arising from the global energy transition, adhered to its globalisation strategy, and deepened its capabilities across the entire value chain of wind turbine blades including R&D, design, production, sales, and after-sales services. It has built an independent and controllable core technology system, driving iterative upgrades in wind power technology. In 2018, the company established its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nantong Aeolon Wind Power Technology Development Co., Ltd., in the Haimen Port Economic Development Zone, and commenced construction of the Phase I project. The Phase II project was launched in May 2020. To date, the company has invested over RMB 5 billion cumulatively in Haimen, and achieved taxable sales of RMB 6.028 billion last year. The Phase III project now under agreement is primarily engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of wind power generation equipment and auxiliary components, wind turbine blades, and related composite materials. It is scheduled to break ground in May this year and begin trial production in December. Upon full production capacity, the project will produce 1,000 sets of large-scale wind turbine blades of 10 MW class and above annually, with an estimated incremental annual taxable sales of RMB 4 billion.

Shen Xudong extended his congratulations on the successful signing of the project and expressed his gratitude to Aeolon Wind Power for its contributions to Haimen's economic and social development. He noted that in recent years, the confluence of multiple national strategies has brought unprecedented historical opportunities to the region, and the accelerated construction of transportation infrastructure has further broadened Haimen's development horizons. At present, Haimen is on a fast track of high-quality development. With major projects such as cross-river passages advancing rapidly, the connectivity between Haimen and Shanghai as well as the southern Jiangsu region has been deepening, ushering in a new stage of city integration and coordinated development. These developments provide solid support and create superior conditions for businesses to invest and thrive. As a leading player in the wind power industry, Aeolon Wind Power has shown strong growth momentum since its establishment in Haimen. The signing of the Phase III project injects new momentum into the agglomeration, expansion, and strengthening of the district's new energy industrial cluster. He hoped that Aeolon Wind Power would accelerate the construction of the new project, focus on technological innovation, continuously sharpen its core competitiveness, and cultivate the Haimen base into a company with annual revenue exceeding RMB 10 billion. Shen Xudong also urged the Haimen Port Economic Development Zone and relevant government departments to take proactive initiatives, provide responsive services, and offer comprehensive, full-factor support to ensure that the company can invest with confidence and grow smoothly in Haimen.

Hu Wenlong remarked that Haimen boasts a full range of industrial supporting facilities and a high-quality business environment, making it fertile ground for new energy enterprises to invest and develop. The company will go all out to advance the Phase III project, striving to complete construction and put it into operation as soon as possible. Leveraging Haimen's advantageous location, industrial ecosystem, and talent pool, as well as its own industry influence, Aeolon will also drive the clustering of upstream and downstream partners, helping Haimen build itself into a new energy industry hub.
